NAFED, Information Center

Woven textile products of cotton are one of the groups of Textile and Textile Products (TTP), consisting of textile, garments and other textile products, made of cotton. Due to the wide variety of products include in this group, we limit the category of woven textile products of cotton to 4 digit HS (Harmonized System) and 3 digit SITC (Standard International Trade Classification)

In international trade, several importing countries impose quota system for importing TTP products, which limit the amount of certain categories of TTP products that are allowed to be imported into those countries. Therefore, exports of TTP products to Quota Countries are regulated by the Government through the Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade No. 02/MPP/Kep/I/2001. According to the Decree, companies, which can export Quota TTP products are Registered Exporters for Textile and Textile Products. Exports to Non-Quota Countries are not regulated. Thus, its exports can be carried out based on general procedures in export and can be carried out by companies, which have obtained business license from Technical Department of Non Departmental Institution, according the valid laws and regulations, and have also obtained Company Registration Number.
